The Bonner Institute conducts an annual Serve-A-Thon to raise money for the Bonner Community Scholars program. As part of the fundraiser, staff and students collect charitable donations as sponsorship for a day of service at the beginning of the academic year. The Serve-A-Thon is structured similarly to a walk-a-thon, but rather than walking or running, students participate in a day of service. In the past, the Bonner Scholars have worked on beautification projects in Trenton Central High School, community mapping projects and other initiatives throughout the city of Trenton.
